New Tang Technology was founded in 2008 with the purpose of bringing innovative solutions to the semiconductor industry. In July of the same year, it was transferred to the division of Huabang Electronic Logic IC business unit and officially launched its operation. In 2010, it was officially listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.  The company specializes in the development of analog/mixed signal, microcontroller and cloud computing related IC products, which are leading positions in industrial electronics, consumer electronics and computer markets.  In addition, the company has a fabs facility that provides customized analog, power management and microcontroller manufacturing processes. In addition to producing its own IC products, the company also provides a portion of its wafer foundry capacity as a service.
